Neck Pain

We all have it but only a few actually try to do something about it. Neck pain can be caused by many different factors: Sleeping wrong, phone use, falling, bad posture, injuries, herniated/bulging disc, and work requirements. Some of theses factors we can change or adjust others we can’t. But why not try to do things to prevent it and aid while doing things we can’t avoid. Here are some tips to start to help avoid/alleviate your neck pain:

  1. Get a supportive pillow that helps with the curvature of your neck.
  2. Ice your neck down after work/activity that might cause it to ache.
  3. See a chiropractor for regular adjustments.
  4. Do stretching and strengthening exercises
  5. Try using a hands free headset for your phone.
  6. keep your shoulders back and down to help with your posture.
  7. See if your work place offers ergonomic work spaces.
  8. Drink lots of water.

All of theses tips are easy to do and usually don’t cost very much but can save your neck and help avoid life long problems.
